WTC Moscow’s experts take part in the 5th Jubilee Eurasian Event Forum

From January 20 to 22, the PetroCongress Center in St. Petersburg hosted the 5th Jubilee Eurasian Event Forum and Forum Event Live, both held under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. This year, more than 450 representatives of the industry from 26 countries and Russia’s 25 regions took part in the gatherings. The event was focused around one key topic, “Marketing in a New Environment. Events as an Efficient Tool of Marketing Communications.”

Within the framework of the forum, an open session of world trade centers was held, “How to make export arrangements. Entering the international market with the WTC’s backing,” moderated by Roman Gubenko, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Promotion of Trade, WTC Moscow. In a separate presentation, he also spoke about the potential of regional businesses and support of their export operations, about the importance of world trade centers in the process of establishing manufacturers’ foothold in the global market. Dmitry Makeyev, Director, Regional Cooperation, Russian Agency for the Insurance of Export Loans and Investments, continued in the same vein, also dwelling on the subject of exports.

In his turn, Alexei Savrasov, head of the Trade Analysis Group, WTC Moscow, spoke about the Center’s analytical work, and about the WTC’s trade missions as elements of support provided to Russian exporters.

Also in attendance were a number of international guests, including Anthony Russo (Trade Services, World Trade Center, Denver, USA) and Emilie Antigny (Executive Assistant to the President, WTC Milan). Direct contact with the forum attendees was established for a number of representatives of overseas centers and of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA), including Estelle Leclercq (WTCA’s Regional Development Manager for Europe), Freerk Faber MA (Director, World Trade Center Twente) and Gerard Vaandrager (Director External Relations, World Trade Center The Hague). The World Trade Centers Association is a group that has 329 Centers all around the globe as its members.

Representatives of public authorities, industry experts and members of the WTC Moscow’s International Business Club also took part in the conference.
